Mary Grace is a design professional who has worked on a number of residential and commercial projects. She is involved in all aspects of the design, including the planning, construction and the final details of the scheme. Grace’s relationship to the design process shows her appreciation of both the modern and traditional esthetics and gives her design solutions a comprehensive spirit that is layered in time.
At Parsons School of Design in New York, Grace received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Enviromental Design; an Associate Degree in Interior Design; and completed the Decorative Arts and Architecture program at the Louvre Museum in Paris. She finished her studies with a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University, New York, NY.
Grace’s scope of work has ranged from modern lofts in the city to the complete gut renovation of an historic 1882 Queen Anne Victorian country house. Her experience working on historic homes required a working relationship with the Township Historical Board and involved understanding and shaping of town preservation policies. During this time Grace and her husband purchased and renovated a number of properties for speculative resale. Other work includes city pre-war apartments in New York City, loft design work in Boston, apartments in Palm Beach and a number of renovations and additions in New York, New Jersey and Maine.
Mary Grace is a versitale designer with a capacity to imagine the possibilities of a space with the result of a sophisticated and thorough consideration of design and function.
